HelIo! I'm Dexter, and choosing counselling for yourself I know can be a daunting and challenging process, but it can also be a liberating journey, allowing yourself an allotted time to focus on you, to talk and work through whatever is going on in your life. Whether that be anxiety, depression, work or school related stress, relationship issues, sexual identity, a mental health diagnosis, or just the enjoyment of remaining mentally healthy.

I hold the belief in my practice that we all have what we need to overcome our inner struggles, but may need help to access those skills and see the connections which were lost or jumbled in our unconscious, to “untangle the ball of yarn” as it were. Counselling offers the support of an impartial, empathic, congruent, supportive (while gently challenging) ear, without fears of judgment or that what you speak about will be repeated without your knowledge. Your confidentiality is key in the counselling relationship.
I work under the umbrella of BCS Counselling Service based in South Wales which is an ethical integrative organisation with the goal of providing accessible face to face, online and telephone psychotherapy and counselling.
