Hello, I'm Ceri, a qualified hypnotherapist and hypnobirthing practitioner at BCS Mental Health Services, which has just won best private practice of the year 2021. I am passionate about making a difference to people's lives. Coming to therapy can be daunting, but I promise you a safe, confidential, and non-judgmental space to explore your issues and help you overcome them.

Many people worry about hypnotherapy, but I can assure you that I do not have a swinging clock, or I won't make you cluck like a chicken, you will not do anything against your will, and you will be completely in control at all times. Hypnotherapy is a form of relaxation that aims to relax the body and mind to help focus on the subconscious part of the brain to challenge any deep-rooted issues. It is a solution-based therapy, which means it is a quicker form of therapy, during which we work together to achieve your desired goals.

How does each session work?

Each session is an hour long and an initial consultation will take place before you commit to therapy. During the initial consultation we will discuss what hypnotherapy is, what has brought you to therapy and what goals you would like to achieve. I will do a simple relaxation technique to give you some understanding what hypnotherapy will feel like and if it is the right therapy for you.

Each session, thereafter, will include a discussion to start, the hypnotherapy part (which will be the relaxation technique) and then suggestion work to challenge your deep-rooted issues, finishing with a summary at the end.

Everyone is different, depending on the issue they bring to therapy, but you will not have more than you need. I generally start with 4/5 sessions and review our progress from there.

Sessions can be face to face or online via zoom or Skype.

All sessions will be conducted in an ethical, private, and confidential manner, hoping to make you feel as comfortable as possible.

I am an accredited member of the national hypnotherapy society.
